Hire Desk Controller (Retail and Plant Hire)
Summary
As a successful plant hire provider and tool and small plant retail outlet, we are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual to join our team based in our Ardrishaig Depot. This is a full time permanent position, working with colleagues and on own initiative to achieve a high standard of service to our customers.
Responsibilities and Duties

Hire desk sales and customer service – face to face and over the phone

Dealing with customer enquiries in a polite and professional manner

Building lasting relationships with repeat customers

Successfully converting hire enquiries in to hire contracts

Organising on and off hires, including co-ordinating delivery and collections

Raising contracts on bespoke IT Hire System (‘Syrinx’ system – training will be given)

Keeping track of stock and ordering by phone or through computerised system

Liaising and working with our other two depots in Oban and Dunoon

Organised and able to prioritise workload

Ensure the highest level of ‘good housekeeping’, with accurate record keeping

Administration tasks in relation to the Hire Desk
Qualifications and Skills
-
Good tool and plant knowledge preferable
-
IT literate
-
Strong commitment to deliver excellent customer service
-
Excellent communication skills and good telephone manner

Organised with the ability to multi task

Monday to Friday – 07:30 to 17:30hrs
